Cheyenne Relocation Information

Cheyenne is the Capital of Wyoming
and the home of F. E. Warren Air Force Base

It is located about 100 miles north of Denver CO on I-25.
Usual drive time is an hour-and-a-half.
Ft. Collins CO is about 45 minutes south (also on I-25).
Laramie WY is 45 minutes west on I-80.

Cheyenne was recently named as one of the Eight Great Tax-Friendly Towns in the nation. The towns were picked because they offer incredible tax breaks, plus just about anything else you’d look for in a retirement haven — or heaven. Cheyenne has no city or state incomes taxes; traffic jams are non-existent; there is lots of fresh air and blue skies with no pollution and Cheyenne has very little crime; well below the national average. Medical care is provided in two regional facilities with special heart and cancer programs. And, most important, housing is affordable with the cost of living slightly under the national average.

Although Cheyenne is not the Old West of the past, there are Western type adventures readily available, especially in the summer months. Culture doesn’t take a back seat in Cheyenne , as there are art galleries, an esteemed symphony orchestra, theaters, botanic gardens, and several excellent museums plus three 18-hole and two 9-hole golf courses. In short, Cheyenne is a laid-back, low tax town with Old West flavor.
